We moved to Vermont in 2016, when the boys were four. We had four wonderful years in Delaware and Maryland exploring beaches, woods. We went to DC, Philly and spent hours and hours at libraries. The kids tried boardwalk fries and soft serve ice cream. Pretty much the best way a kid can spend four years; it was a ton of work to make it happen and the kids remember almost none of it. That’s boyhood.
